PLAYIT TERMS

Last updated: 9 October 2026

THE SHORT VERSION

  • You must be 13 or older. Under 18? A parent or guardian must agree to these Terms with you.
  • What you make is yours. You let Playit store it, run it and show it.
  • A game you share can be played by anyone, and so can every picture and sound inside it.
  • Only use photos of yourself, or of people who said yes.
  • Keep it friendly — no sexual, hateful, violent or illegal content.
  • AI can get things wrong. Check what it made before you share it.
  • Coins aren't money. Unspent coins can be refunded within 14 days of buying them.
  • Tips are gifts to a game's maker. Only people 18 or older can withdraw tips they earn.

This summary helps you read the Terms; the full Terms are what count.

1. About these Terms

These Terms are an agreement between you and Playit ("Playit", "we", "us") about using the Playit website and everything on it (the "Service"). Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information and is part of these Terms.

You agree to these Terms when you tap I AGREE, or when you buy coins or send a tip. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Who can use Playit

  • Age. You must be at least 13 years old — or older, if the law where you live sets a higher age for using a service like Playit on your own.
  • Under 18. If you are under 18 (or under the age of adulthood where you live), a parent or legal guardian must read and agree to these Terms with you. They are then responsible for your use of Playit, including anything you buy or tip.
  • Earning money. To withdraw tips you must be 18 or older and the owner of the PayPal or bank account you send them to (see section 12).
  • One person, one account. Don't share, sell or hand over your account, and don't make extra accounts to get around a limit or a ban.
  • The law. You can't use Playit if the law forbids it for you — for example, if you live in a country under trade sanctions, or are on a government list of people businesses may not deal with.

By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that all of this is true for you — including your age and, if you are under 18, that a parent or guardian has agreed too. If it isn't, you may not use Playit, and you are responsible for any use of it that breaks these rules. If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we will close it and delete their information.

3. Your account

Keep your password safe and don't share your sign-in. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Use an email address that is really yours — it is how you prove the account is yours if you ever need our help. If you think someone else got into your account, tell us straight away (see how to reach us).

4. What you make

It's yours. The games, ideas, chats, pictures, sounds and 3D models you make or upload ("Your Content") belong to you, or to whoever owned them before. We don't claim ownership of them.

What you let us do with it. So we can run Playit, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission (a "licence") to store, copy, run, display, adapt and share Your Content — for example to build and fix your game, make pictures smaller, create preview images and social-media cards, and show your shared games in the gallery and in our own promotion of Playit. We can pass this permission to the companies that help us run Playit (listed in the Privacy Policy), only so they can do that work for us.

How long that lasts. For content you keep private, the licence ends when you delete it. For a game you shared, it lasts while the game is shared and for a reasonable time after you stop sharing or delete it. Copies other people already made — a screenshot, a recording, a link — may stay out there, and we can't call those back.

We don't train AI on it. Playit does not use Your Content to train AI models.

Shared games are public. Games are shared by default. Anyone with the link can play a shared game, it can appear in the gallery, and every picture, sound, photo and 3D model inside it can be seen and downloaded. Your player name is shown on it. You can stop sharing a game at any time from its settings.

The shared library. When our AI designs a new 3D model or sound effect for your game, we may keep a copy in Playit's shared library so other players' games can use it too. A library item stays in the library, and in games that already use it, even if your game is deleted. We never add to the library a model made from your photo, a model made from your own words, or a human figure. Library items in your game are licensed to you to use inside Playit games; they don't become yours.

Your promise to us. You promise that you have the rights to everything you upload, and that Your Content doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights.

Ideas and feedback. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.

5. Made with AI

Playit uses AI from other companies to plan, draw, write, score and build games.

  • Who owns the result. As between you and us, you own what the AI makes for you ("Output"), as far as the law allows anyone to own it, and we give you any rights we have in it.
  • No guarantees. We can't promise that an Output is protected by copyright, one of a kind, or free of likeness to someone else's work. AI can give different people similar results — and their results aren't yours.
  • Mistakes happen. AI can make mistakes, bugs, or something you didn't expect or wouldn't want. Look at what it made before you share it, and don't rely on it for anything important.
  • Your responsibility. You are responsible for what you ask the AI to make and for how you use what it makes, including checking that it doesn't copy someone else's work.
  • Play fair with the AI. Don't try to trick it into breaking these Terms or around our safety checks.

6. Photos of people

Playit can turn a photo into game art, a character or a 3D model. Photos of real people need extra care:

  • Only upload a photo of yourself, or of someone who clearly agreed to be in your game. If that person is under 18, their parent or guardian must agree too.
  • Don't use photos of strangers, famous people or anyone who hasn't said yes.
  • Never use someone's likeness to embarrass, bully, harass, sexualise or impersonate them, and never pass off an AI picture of a real person as real.
  • A photo inside a shared game is public (section 4).

If you're in a Playit game without your permission, email us with the game's link and we'll take it down. If someone complains about a photo you used, you are responsible for it (section 16).

7. Community rules

Playit is for everyone, so what you make, upload, name or type must be fine for a general audience. Don't make, upload or share anything that:

  • is sexual or pornographic, or sexualises anyone — anything sexual involving a minor is banned outright and will be reported to the authorities;
  • is hateful, or attacks people for who they are (race, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality, disability, or similar);
  • bullies, threatens, harasses or shares private information about someone;
  • shows graphic violence or gore, or encourages self-harm, terrorism or real-world violence;
  • is illegal, or helps someone break the law;
  • uses other people's work — characters, music, art, brands, code — that you don't have the right to use;
  • pretends to be someone else, or misleads players about who made it.

And don't misuse Playit itself. Don't:

  • put harmful code in a game — anything that attacks players, their devices or their accounts, collects their information, mines cryptocurrency, or sends them to scams;
  • use a game to gamble, run a scam, or sell anything outside Playit;
  • break into, overload, scrape or copy Playit, or get around its limits, filters or safety checks;
  • use bots or tricks to fake plays, scores or tips;
  • spam other players.

8. How we keep Playit safe

We use automatic checks and our own team to keep Playit safe, but we don't check everything before it appears, and we aren't responsible for content other players make.

If something breaks these Terms or the law — or we reasonably believe it does — we may take it down, stop it from being shared, limit what an account can do (for example making, sharing, tipping or withdrawing), pause an account, or close it for good. We pick the step that fits what happened. Where the law allows, we'll tell you what we did and why.

If you think we got it wrong, email us within 6 months and a person will look at it again. If you live in the EU, you may also use a certified out-of-court dispute body. To report something on Playit, email us with its link.

9. Copyright complaints

We respect creators' rights. If you believe something on Playit copies your work without permission, email us with the subject "Copyright notice" and include:

  • what work of yours was copied;
  • the link to where it appears on Playit;
  • your name, address, phone and email;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't allowed by you, your agent or the law;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the work or may act for its owner;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

We'll remove or disable the material and let the player who posted it know. If they believe it was removed by mistake, they can send us a counter-notice with the same kind of information, plus agreement to the courts of the place they live (or, outside the US, any US court where Playit may be found). If the complainant doesn't tell us within 10 business days that they've started a court case, we may put the material back after 10 to 14 business days. A false notice or counter-notice can make you liable for damages. A player under 18 needs a parent or guardian to send a counter-notice. We close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

10. Coins

Coins pay for the AI work that makes your games — chatting, drawing, building and more. New accounts get some free coins, and you can buy more.

  • Coins aren't money. They have no cash value, aren't your property, and can't be sold, swapped for cash, or moved to another account. What you get when you buy coins is a personal permission to use them on Playit. Any attempt to sell or transfer them doesn't count, and may cost you the coins.
  • Coins pay for work, not results. Coins are used up as the AI works, whether or not you like what it made. If you stop a job partway, you pay for the work done so far.
  • Refunds. You can get a refund for coins you bought and haven't spent, if you ask within 14 days of buying them: email us from your account's email address and we'll refund the unspent part of that purchase to the card you paid with. Free coins, spent coins, and coins bought more than 14 days ago can't be refunded, except where the law says otherwise.
  • Your right to cancel (EU, UK and similar laws). Where the law gives you 14 days to cancel an online purchase, you agree when you buy coins that you can start using them straight away, and that you lose the right to cancel for the coins you spend. Coins you haven't spent stay refundable for 14 days, as above. To cancel, just email us saying you want to cancel your purchase.
  • Prices. We may change coin prices and what things cost in coins. Changes never affect a purchase already made. Coins you already have don't expire.
  • Under 18. You need a parent's or guardian's permission to buy coins.
  • Mistakes and chargebacks. We may fix a coin balance that's wrong because of a mistake or a bug. If a payment is reversed or charged back, we may remove the coins it bought and pause the account.
  • If your account ends. If we close your account because you broke these Terms, your remaining coins are lost, except where the law says otherwise. If we close your account for any other reason, or shut Playit down, we'll refund the coins you bought and haven't spent.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number.

11. Tipping a game's maker

  • A tip is a gift to the person who made a game. It doesn't buy anything — no coins, perks or extra features.
  • Tips are paid by card through Stripe. You pay a small service fee on top (the card company's charge), shown before you pay, so the maker gets the full tip.
  • Tips go straight to the maker, so they can't be cancelled or refunded, except where the law says otherwise or we refund one because of fraud or a mistake.
  • Only tip with a card that's yours. If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian first.
  • Tips aren't donations to a charity.
  • Charging back a tip you did make is fraud, and may close your account.

12. Earning and withdrawing tips

  • Who can withdraw. Anyone can receive tips. To withdraw them you must be 18 or older (or an adult where you live) and send them to a PayPal or bank account in your own name. Tips stay in your balance until then.
  • Your balance. Your tip balance is money we owe you, in US dollars. It's separate from coins and can't be turned into coins.
  • Waiting times. New tips wait before they can be withdrawn, because card payments can be reversed weeks later. Your first withdrawal and tips that look risky wait longer, and so does a withdrawal soon after your email or password changed. Your wallet shows when each amount is ready.
  • Fees and minimums. Each payout method has a flat fee and there is a minimum withdrawal. Both are shown before you ask for a withdrawal. We may change fees for the future, never for a withdrawal already asked for.
  • Our review. Our team checks each withdrawal and sends it by hand. We may delay, hold or refuse a withdrawal to check who you are, to prevent fraud, to deal with a reversed payment, because of a breach of these Terms, or because the law requires it. We'll tell you why where we can.
  • Reversals. If a tip is refunded, charged back or turns out to be fraud, we take it back out of your balance — even if that makes your balance negative — and from future tips.
  • Taxes. You are responsible for any tax on what you earn. We may ask for tax information, report payments to tax authorities, or hold back tax where the law requires it.
  • Wrong details. Check your payout details. We aren't responsible for money sent to the wrong account because of details you gave us.
  • If your account ends. If your account closes, we still pay out legitimate earnings after the usual checks. Money that came from fraud is never paid out.
  • Not a job. Earning tips doesn't make you our employee, partner or agent.

13. Ads

Some pages show ads, including ads from Google. Ads can appear near your games, and makers don't get a share of ad money. We aren't responsible for what advertisers offer. The Privacy Policy explains the cookies ads use and your choices.

14. Ending your account

You can stop using Playit at any time. To delete your account, email us from your account's email address (the Privacy Policy explains what is deleted and what we must keep). We may close or pause an account as section 8 explains, or if we stop offering Playit. Sections 4 (for shared games), 5, 9 to 12 (for money already owed either way), and 15 to 19 still apply after your account ends.

15. No promises

We work hard on Playit, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will always work, be error-free, be safe from every attack, keep every file, or do what you need — and we give no other guarantees, written or implied. AI is new technology and its Output can be wrong, odd or unsuitable. Keep your own copies of anything important — we don't promise to keep backups. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights the law says you always have (for example consumer rights in the EU or UK).

16. Our responsibility to you

As far as the law allows, Playit isn't responsible for indirect losses — such as lost profits, lost data, or harm to reputation — and our total responsibility for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of US$100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This limit never reduces tip earnings we owe you. Nothing in these Terms limits our responsibility for fraud, for death or injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

If someone makes a claim against Playit because of Your Content, your prompts, a photo you used, or you breaking these Terms or the law, you'll cover the costs that result, including reasonable legal fees, as far as the law allows.

17. Disagreements

If something goes wrong, please email us first — most problems can be fixed quickly, and we'll try for at least 30 days before either of us goes further.

As far as the law allows, claims must be brought individually, not as part of a group or class action. Nothing in these Terms takes away the rights your own country's consumer laws give you.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Playit changes or the law requires. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using Playit after a change means you accept it; changes never apply to things that happened before them.

19. The legal bits

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Playit about the Service. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a rule straight away, we haven't given it up. You can't transfer this agreement to someone else; we can transfer it if Playit is sold or reorganised. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our reasonable control.
