FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Quick answers about making, playing and sharing games on Playit. Can't find yours? Contact us.

GETTING STARTED

What is Playit?

Playit turns a game idea into a game you can play. You describe it in your own words, our AI plans it with you, makes the art and music, and builds it — no code and no downloads. Everything runs in your browser.

Do I need an account?

Not to play. Anyone can open Browse & Play and play shared games. To make your own games you need a free account.

How old do I have to be?

You must be 13 or older to make an account. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to the Terms with you, and only people 18 or older can withdraw tips they earn.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Games play in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, with on-screen controls on touch screens.

MAKING GAMES

How do I make a game?

Type your idea and pick 2D or 3D. The AI asks you a few questions to get the details right, shows you the pictures, characters and music it made so you can change them, and then builds the game. When it's ready, you read what it built and press play.

Can I change my game after it's built?

Yes. Open it from My Games and tell the AI what to change in the chat — a new level, a faster enemy, a different colour. You can also swap pictures and sounds yourself, or add your own.

Can I put myself in my game?

Yes — upload a photo and the AI can turn it into a character. Only use photos of yourself, or of people who said yes.

Who owns the games I make?

You do. What you make is yours; you let Playit store it, run it and show it. You can also download your game's code from its settings. The Terms have the details.

What can't I make?

Playit is for everyone, so no sexual, hateful, violent or illegal content, and nothing that uses other people's characters, music or art without permission. The community rules in the Terms list it all.

COINS & PAYMENTS

What are coins?

Coins pay for the AI work that makes your games — chatting, drawing, building and more. New accounts get free coins to start, and you can buy more any time from your balance. Playing games is always free.

What if I stop the AI, or don't like the result?

Coins pay for the work the AI does, not for the result, so they're used up as it works. If you stop it partway, you only pay for the work done so far.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, for coins you bought and haven't spent, within 14 days of buying them. Email us from your account's email address and we'll refund the unspent part to the card you paid with. Free coins and spent coins can't be refunded.

Is paying safe?

Payments are handled by Stripe, one of the world's biggest payment companies. We never see your full card number.

SHARING & TIPS

Who can play my game?

Games are shared by default: anyone with the link can play, and the game can appear in Browse & Play. To keep a game to yourself, turn off SHARE PUBLICLY in the game's settings. Every picture and sound inside a shared game can be seen too.

How do I send my game to friends?

Use SHARE LINK in your game's settings, or the share button on its play page. It copies the link — send it anywhere, and your friends can play straight away, no account needed.

How do tips work?

Players who enjoy a game can tip its maker by card. Tips are gifts, so they can't be cancelled. Makers see their tips in the Wallet in Account Info, and players 18 or older can withdraw them to PayPal or a bank account. Our team checks each withdrawal before sending it.

How do I delete a game?

Open the game, then choose DELETE GAME in its settings. Deleting can't be undone.

ACCOUNT & PRIVACY

Do you use my games to train AI?

No. Playit doesn't use what you make to train AI, and we don't sell your information. The Privacy Policy explains what we keep and who helps us run Playit.

How do I delete my account?

Email us from your account's email address and ask us to delete it. You can also ask for a copy of your information the same way.

I found something that shouldn't be on Playit.

Email us with the game's link and what's wrong with it, and a person will look at it. That includes a game that uses your photo or your work without your permission.
