PLAYIT PRIVACY
Last updated: 9 October 2026
THE SHORT VERSION
- We collect what it takes to run your account and make your games: your email, what you type and upload, and the games you make.
- To make your games, what you type and upload is sent to the AI companies listed below.
- Games are public when shared — including any photo inside them.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't use your content to train AI.
- Payments go through Stripe. We never see your card number.
- You can ask for a copy of your information, or for it to be deleted — see section 1 for how to reach us.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
Playit ("we", "us") runs the Playit website and decides how your information is used — in privacy law, we are the "controller". This policy works together with our Terms.
For any question or request — about your information, your account, a refund, a report or anything else — email us at info@numbase.com. Wherever Playit says "email us" or "contact us", this is the address.
2. What we collect
| What | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Your email, player name, password (stored only as a scrambled "hash" we can't read back), and when you agreed to the Terms | You |
| Google sign-in | Your email address and Google's account number for you — nothing else from your Google account | Google, when you choose it |
| What you make | Game ideas, chats with our AI, game code, pictures, music, sounds, 3D models, game names, high scores | You and our AI |
| Uploads | Photos (including photos of people), sounds and 3D models you add to a game or your inventory | You |
| Coins | Packs you bought, your balance, what you spent coins on, and the AI work each job used | You and Stripe |
| Tips you send | Amount, the game, your account if signed in, and checks from Stripe about the card (its country, a fraud-risk score, a card "fingerprint" that isn't the card number) | You and Stripe |
| Earnings and withdrawals | Your tip balance, your PayPal email or bank details (name, bank, account and routing numbers), your country, and the internet address you asked from | You |
| Technical | Internet (IP) address, browser type and pages visited, in our server logs; the cookies listed in section 8 | Your browser, automatically |
We don't ask for your real name, address or phone number to use Playit. We don't use analytics trackers. If you use the microphone button to type by voice, your browser (for example Chrome or Safari) turns your speech into text using its own maker's service — the sound never reaches us.
3. Why we use it
| Why | Legal reason (for EU/UK law) |
|---|---|
| Running your account; making, saving, sharing and showing your games; coins | To provide the service you asked for (our contract with you) |
| Taking payments, paying out tips, keeping money records | Our contract with you, and laws on tax and accounts |
| Keeping Playit safe: checking content, stopping fraud and abuse, limiting how fast things can be used, security logs | Our legitimate interest in a safe, working service |
| Personalised ads | Your consent, where the law requires it |
| Answering you, and legal requests | Our legitimate interest, and the law |
4. How AI makes your game
Playit uses trusted AI services from other companies to plan, draw and build your game and to make its 3D models, music and sounds. To do that, we send them only what's needed — your ideas and chats, game code, and the pictures and photos you add. We don't send them your email or your name.
These companies may keep requests for a limited time, under their own policies, for example to check for abuse. Playit never uses your content to train AI models.
Our AI also checks what it writes for content that breaks our community rules. These are automatic checks; they never decide anything about your account on their own. If you think a check got it wrong, email us and a person will look.
5. Photos of people and 3D characters
- A photo you add is sent to our image AI (section 4) to make that game's art. If the game is shared, the photo itself is public inside it (section 6).
- When a photo is turned into a 3D model, our AI draws a character from the photo and then works out its 3D shape — including the shape of a face.
- We never use photos or 3D models to recognise or identify anyone, and we don't keep any face measurements: what we keep is the photo you gave us and the finished model, as part of your game or inventory.
- They're deleted when you delete them, the game, or your account — and in any case within 30 days of a deletion request.
6. What other people can see
When a game is shared (games are shared by default), anyone with its link can play it, and it can appear in our gallery and in our posts about Playit. Everyone can see:
- the game and everything inside it — pictures, photos, sounds, music, 3D models and code;
- your player name as its maker, how many times it was played, and its high scores (with the names players chose).
If you stop sharing a game, it disappears from Playit for everyone else — but we can't recall copies or screenshots people already made. 3D models and sound effects our AI designed may stay in the shared library for other games (see the Terms, section 4).
Our team. To keep Playit safe, fix problems and answer requests, a small number of Playit staff can see accounts, games, chats with our AI and money records. Viewing payout details is recorded each time.
7. Payments, tips and payouts
Coin purchases and tips are paid on Stripe's secure pages. Stripe collects your card details under its own privacy policy; we never see your full card number. We keep a record of each purchase and tip.
When you withdraw tips, our team uses the PayPal or bank details you gave to send the money by hand through PayPal or a bank. Those details are stored encrypted, and we keep a record of every time staff open them. A maker sees how much they were tipped and for which game — never who tipped them.
8. Cookies and ads
Cookies are small files your browser keeps for a website. Ours are only for running the site:
| Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| playit_session | Keeps you signed in | 30 days |
| playit_csrf | Protects your forms from attacks by other sites | Until you close the browser |
| playit_oauth_state | Protects Google sign-in | 10 minutes |
| playit_visited | Counts a game's plays once, not on every reload | 48 hours |
| playit_tip | Shows your thank-you after a tip | 1 hour |
| playit_name | Remembers the name you typed for a high score | 1 year |
| playit_rail_folded | Remembers if you folded the game editor's side menu | 1 year |
Your browser also keeps a few settings for us on your device, such as whether sound is muted. They never leave it.
Ads. The games gallery shows ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings, or turn off other companies' ad cookies at www.aboutads.info. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, Google asks for your choice before using ad cookies. Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads here.
9. Who we share with
We share information only as this policy says. We don't sell it.
| Who | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Google Cloud | Runs our servers and stores files | USA |
| AI services | Plan, draw and build games, and make their 3D models, music and sounds | USA and other countries |
| Stripe | Card payments for coins and tips | USA / Ireland |
| PayPal, banks | Sending your tip earnings | Where your account is |
| Sign-in with Google; ads on the gallery | USA |
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people from harm or fraud, to enforce our Terms, or with a company that takes over Playit (which must then keep to this policy).
10. Sending information abroad
Playit's servers are in the United States, and some of the companies above are in other countries. Where the law of your country (such as the EU or UK) requires it, we protect your information when it leaves with legal safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Email us for details.
11. How long we keep it
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Your account | Until you ask us to delete it |
| Games, chats, uploads and photos | Until you delete them, the game, or your account |
| Library 3D models and sound effects | As long as the library exists (they hold no personal details) |
| Purchases, tips, withdrawals and payout records | 7 years, because tax and accounting laws require it |
| Server logs | A short time, for security and fixing problems |
| Copies at AI and other companies | As their own policies set |
12. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your information;
- correct something that's wrong (you can change your name and email yourself);
- delete your account and information;
- stop or limit some uses of your information, or object to them;
- send your information to you in a format you can move elsewhere.
Email us (section 1) from your account's email address so we know it's you. We'll answer within 30 days. Where you gave consent, you can take it back at any time. We won't treat you worse for using your rights.
Deleting your account removes your account, games, uploads and chats within 30 days. We keep only what the law makes us keep — money records, with your name and email removed where possible — and library items, which hold nothing about you.
If you live in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
US state privacy rights. Some US state laws give extra rights, such as to know, delete and correct information, and to opt out of "selling" or "sharing" it. We don't sell information. Under some of those laws, ad cookies count as "sharing" — you can opt out with the ad choices in section 8, or by emailing us. Your browser's "Do Not Track" setting doesn't change how the site works.
13. Children and teens
Playit is for people 13 and older (or older, where local law sets a higher age). Players under 18 need a parent or guardian to agree to our Terms with them, and by agreeing they confirm this is true. We don't ask for your age or birthday. If we learn we have information from a child under 13, we delete it. Parents can email us (section 1) about their child's account.
14. Keeping it safe
Every connection to Playit is encrypted. Passwords are stored as hashes we can't read back, payout details are stored encrypted, the system that holds your data can't be reached from the internet directly, and staff access is limited and recorded. No system is perfectly safe; if a breach puts you at risk, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
15. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when Playit changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll let you know on Playit about important changes.
